Welcome to our Parish!
As a community of believers, we center our life and faith on the Eucharist, through which we are nurtured, nourished, sustained and transformed into faithful witnesses and disciples of Christ.
Father Stephen Ejike Nduka Ogonwa (FR. SENO) was born into the family of Late Mr. Godwin and Comfort Ogonwa on the Feb. 7th 1971 of Ejeme-Aniogor in Aniocha South Local Government Area (in County) of Delta State, Nigeria, West Africa.
Fr. Seno attended the Major Seminary of Saints Peter and Paul Bodija-Ibadan (Oyo State, Nigeria) where he studied for the Priesthood. Fr. Seno was ordained a Deacon on the 16th of December 2000 with two others for the Diocese of Issele-Uku in Delta State, West Africa and on the September 1st 2001 he was ordained a Priest by Francis Cardinal Arinze.
Since his ordination, he has served as Youth Coordinator of Issele-Uku Diocese, Associate Pastor in the following Parishes: St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, Owa, 2001-2002, Our Lady of Lourdes, Onicha-Olona, 2002-2003 and Mary Immaculate Ogwashi-Uku, 2003-2004. In September, 2004, he was appointed Pastor to Sacred Heart Catholic Church Obomkpa in Aniocha North Local Government Area in Delta State, Nigeria till May 20th 2008 when he left Nigeria on the invitation of Bishop Thomas Wenski to come to the Diocese of Orlando. His first Parish in the United States was Our Lady of Hope, in Port Orange as a Parochial Vicar, July 2008-July 2011. Parochial Vicar Prince of Peace July 2011 –June 2017. On July 1st Fr. Seno was appointed Parochial Administrator to Immaculate Heart of Mary, Candler.
Fr. Seno was not born a Catholic; he became a Catholic by a Catholic who told him about the rich treasure in the Catholic faith and the value of Catholicism. Fr. Seno has a deep devotion to the Eucharist and Our Blessed Mother Mary. Three is a significant number for Fr. Seno. His life is intricately bound to the Trinity: He was the third child in his family, one of the three priests ordained at the same time in his diocese, and the third person from his hometown to become a priest.
